Joint Session on Disaster Risk Financing

A joint session on disaster risk financing brings together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss and develop strategies for managing the financial impact of various natural disasters, including earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, floods, landslides, droughts, forest and land fires, extreme weather, and extreme waves. This session aims to explore innovative financing mechanisms, such as insurance, catastrophe bonds, and emergency funds, to enhance the resilience of communities and economies against these diverse disasters.
